About Taosphere

Taosphere Education Society is an incorporated not-for-profit society located in Victoria, B.C., Canada. Taosphere began in 1997 as Taosphere Information Services and developed into a project to co-operatively own rural properties and protect them from over-development.
Anticipating a economic shift away from financing non-profits Taosphere became an enterprising non-profit. Relying on business endeavours to pay for operating expenses instead of grants, Taosphere seeks to set a standard for self reliant non-profit organizations.
As time passed our purposes expanded to meet the diverse interests and needs of our members. The concepts of Balanced Living and Living Education became central to Taosphere. These concepts led to the Community Education Project and the various educational and business services we provide to members and the general public.
